Nobody should have to choose between heating their home or feeding their family. With the cold winter months fast approaching we know this is a real worry for many households who are trying to live on a low income or are claiming benefit. In fact, 10% of UK households* have fuel bills which take up a significant proportion of their income and that’s money which they can’t afford to waste.
Well there is some good news. BillSaveUK is part of the Government-led fuel poverty ECO scheme. What does that mean? It’s a plan to save you money on your heating bills by making your home more energy efficient – having your home insulated for free for example.
BillSaveUK is helping to deliver part of the ECO scheme called the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation, or HHCRO. This is just for people who either own their home or who rent privately, but to qualify you must be living entirely on benefit or have a total household income of less than £16,010 per year.
If this is you, then we might be able to help you enjoy some cheaper energy bills by having insulation installed.
For a limited time BillSaveUK is offering £50 Cashback to eligible customers who qualify for home insulation improvements.

First of all, we need to check a few things. If you claim benefit, we need to prove that you receive one of the following:
For certain benefits, one of the following must also apply:
By simply filling in the above form we above we are able to verify that you are eligible for the scheme.
Next we’d carry out a quick, free survey of your home to check if it needs cavity wall insulation or loft insulation. If it does, then thanks to HHCRO funding our trained, certified installers would install the right levels of insulation to make your home as energy efficient as possible, completely free of charge. Once the measure is installed you will be entitled to claim your £50 cashback from BillSaveUK
We would need to have the agreement of your landlord before any work could be carried out. But the Government has said that from 2016, any request from a tenant to make reasonable improvements to the energy efficiency of a property can’t be refused.
If you provide us with your landlord’s details then we’ll be more than happy to contact them on your behalf to check it’s all OK.
It’s really easy. Fill in the form above and our team will be in contact with you. If you qualify for free insulation and your property is suitable for loft and/or cavity wall insulation, then we’ll agree a date that’s convenient with you to carry out the work.
By simply having your loft insulated you could save up to £20 per month.
Loft Insulation is an effective way to improve the energy efficiency of your home. Our Installers will install a layer of high performance, environmentally friendly mineral fiber insulation into the loft space of your property.
Loft insulation improves the energy rating of your home, reduces bills, and even helps extend the life of your boiler by reducing it’s work load.
Typically, modern homes have an air gap in the exterior walls. Using specialist equipment, our Installer teams will blow insulation material into these air ‘cavities’ in your exterior walls, leading to a dramatic reduction in heat loss.
Cavity insulation is a great way to improve the energy rating of your home, while helping to reduce your energy bills.
Subject to eligibility. Applicants have to be in receipt of the benefits as outlined on here. To determine this BillSaveUK will share your data with the Energy Saving Trust and The Department for Work and Pensions.
At BillSaveUK, you can rest assured that all of the work carried out is by our own trained professionals. We carry out your Free Assessment and advise you of the options available to you.
The installation itself is backed by warranties and/or guarantees where appropriate so you can feel comfortable that you are in safe hands.
The latest Government ECO scheme started on 1st April 2017 and is due to last through till October 2018. The funding for certain elements is limited and as such we would encourage all home owners to apply now to avoid disappointment.
Given the recent changes in Government for both BREXIT and the General Election, the scheme could be altered at any point before October 2018. As such act now and don’t delay to see if you are entitled to funding towards your insulation.
You can find plenty of useful information here, however it’s really worth getting a free, no obligation survey by our trained team. Even if your home isn’t suitable, we can still give you energy saving advice and help you find other ways to make your home more energy efficient.
