To gain this accreditation the Cavity Wall System Designer must be satisfied that BillsaveUK is capable of installing their product competently and in accordance with the related Agrément Certificate. We are then assessed by the BBA on site prior to becoming an Approved Installer. Assessment and surveillance of our business is undertaken by the BBA to ensure that the products are being installed to specification. Each year the BBA will carry out an office audit and a series of visits to sites in progress based on 1% of the total the number of completed installations by our business.
TrustMark was launched to the public in January 2006 as the Government backed quality scheme that signposts people to reputable local tradesmen. It is now a registered social enterprise, operated under licence from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Our technical skills have been independently checked through on-site inspections to ensure a high quality of workmanship and trading practices. TrustMark is the only scheme that requires qualified inspectors to do these visits, so that our technical competence is checked as well as business practices and customer satisfaction. All TrustMark approved Scheme Operators and registered firms make a commitment to work to Government-endorsed standards.
The Green Deal & ECO Guarantee Company (GDGC) is a specialist online insurance provider specifically set up to provide Green Deal and Eco Product and Workmanship Guarantees and Insurance Policies to underwrite these to conform with the most recent legislation relating to insurance backed guarantees.
The GDGC guarantees and insurance policies conform to all the relevant criteria within ‘The Code’, ‘The Framework’ and Ofgem guidelines for ECO guarantees.
This approval allows us to complete work for customers whose property has had a Green Deal assessment and subsequently has had finance for measures approved. As a Green Deal Installer we specialise in multiple energy efficiency improvement measures. A number of other government financial incentives require approved installers under this scheme, including the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and various grants such as the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund.
This certifies that we are competent in providing installation services and we have been independently assessed against the building regulations and the requirements of the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 2030. In addition to being technically competent, we also need to have procedures and records in place to demonstrate that our installation processes, process management, service provision and claims of conformity comply with PAS 2030. We are also audited to ensure compliance to a rate of 1% of all installations.
BillSaveUK was assessed as being competent with H&S standards and legislation by SMAS. This clearly demonstrates that we have a pro-active safety culture as well as the relevant skills and experience to undertake projects. BillSaveUK is proud to be listed on the SMAS and SSIP databases.
Safemark is a pre-qualification assessment scheme that is Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) member-assessed. This means that BillSaveUK has been assessed and confirmed by an SSIP forum member as meeting acceptable health and safety standards. Which demonstrates CDM 2015 requirements of relevant skills, knowledge, experience and, where needed, organisational capability to undertake a project. An understanding of H&S legislation and moreover is the only scheme designed by house builder specialists for house builders.
BillSaveUK is proud to be SafeContractor approved. Safecontractor was initially developed as a bespoke project for a Property Management client, who wished to outsource the annual vetting of contractors on its approved list. Interest shown by other similar clients identified the potential for a standardised system that could be offered to the whole of the company’s client base. Safecontractor is part of the Alcumus Group, the market-leading provider of technology-enabled compliance risk management, certification and verification services.
The Verify Audit specifically looked at BillSaveUKs approach to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility. The Verify protocol provides the Utilities companies an independent assessment of suppliers’ management systems in each of the discipline areas both from an internal management system perspective as well as a test of the application onsite. This is particular crucial to BillSaveUK given our offerings of obtaining ECO funding for domestic households to deliver Energy Saving measures.
