BillSaveUK strengthens senior team with new CFO13th June 2017
National energy saving solutions installer BillSaveUK has appointed experienced financial director Julian Cummins as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Julian’s appointment has been made by the Leicester-based business 18 months after it started trading in October 2015. Now with steady growth being experienced across each of its business areas in energy efficiency measures for the newbuild and retrofit housing markets, and in its scaffolding division, BillSaveUK is investing in its senior team to help strengthen its position moving forward.
Previously Finance Director for SSP Hats Ltd, Julian’s career began at ‘big four’ accountancy firm Deliotte and over the past 17 years has gained extensive experience working in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. This insight made him an attractive proposition to BillSaveUK as it looks to increase its market share and build up a solid financial base for future growth.
In his new role Julian will be responsible for the financial control of the business as well as forecasting and risk management. He will report to BillSaveUK’s Executive Chairman Simon Mansfield and work alongside the Board to help steer the future growth of the business and secure new funding.
Commenting on his appointment, Julian said: “Working in the energy saving sector is new to me but speaking from the experience I’ve gained working with SME businesses for the majority of my career, I can see the great opportunity BillSaveUK has to expand its volumes, its geographical footprint and its product range. And as the business grows, I think its status as a key partner to new build and utility customers will strengthen, firmly securing its position as an industry leader.”
BillSaveUK director, Bill Rumble added: “After 18 months of trading, we emerge from our start-up phase having implemented dozens of initiatives to improve our operational efficiency and deliver even higher levels of service to our customers.
“Julian has been welcomed into business and with his experience of the SME sector, we’ll heed his advice as we make key decisions about the the day to day running of our business and map out our future.”
BillSaveUK is headquartered in Leicester and installs energy saving measures into around 3,000 homes and businesses throughout the UK every month.
