BillSave backs Energy Saving Week 2018 #BESW2018

22nd January 2018

This week (22 to 28 January 2018) is Big Energy Energy Saving and as a national advisor and installer of home energy efficiency solutions, BillSaveUK is giving its full support.

The idea of the national campaign is to help people find ways to cut their fuel bills and make sure they’re receiving all the financial support they’re entitled to. While much of the focus will be on switching suppliers or making simple changes at home to cut energy usage, BillSaveUK wants to let Britain know that having a properly insulated home and accessing available grants for doing so, is all part of the same idea.

Run by Citizens Advice, the Energy Saving Trust and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the big message for the week is ‘Check, switch and save’ – encouraging the nation to challenge the energy tariff they may have been on for years and seeing how much they could save by switching to a better deal, or a different supplier.

BillSaveUK’s message is the same:
1. Call or email to arrange a free survey to check if your home is fully insulated and to see if you might be entitled to grant funding
2. If your home could benefit from improved insulation, then get a date booked in for BillSaveUK’s qualified, accredited installers to carry out the installation work
3. Sit back and enjoy living in your warmer, more energy-efficient home and see how much you save on your fuel bills.

Bill Rumble, BillSaveUK director, said: “There are still so many households across the UK which haven’t switched energy tariff recently, if at all and the chances are, those people could save a significant amount on their monthly bills. But to really make the difference and cut heating bills further, it makes sense to reduce the amount of energy your home needs in the first place – by having it properly insulated.

“We offer a free, no obligation survey and a professional installation service which operates nationwide. And, with funding available, some households could have insulation installed for as little as £10, or even free of charge.”

Citizen’s Advice will be running a social media campaign during Big Energy Saving Week to increase awareness of the benefits of switching energy supplier, with further resources and online tools available on their website.
