Estimator - New Build - Salary – £21.2K-£24.2K per annum +benefits

BillSaveUK Ltd is a Leicester based business focusing on providing energy saving measures to homes. We are eager to recruit motivated, hard-working individuals who want to become an integral part of an innovative company, and we are now looking to recruit an Estimator. This is a head office-based role. The Estimator will be working within the New Build Estimating Team to provide and return quotations back to customers in line with agreed KPI’s and SLA’s.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Accurate interpretations of technical information and specification
  • Taking of measurements accurately from information and drawings provided
  • Ensure that all tender/quotes for New Build customers meet their return date with the correct supporting documentation
  • Converting measurement take offs into precise and accurate customer quotations
  • Logging of customer tender requites onto BillsaveUK Ltd data base
  • Accurately log and record completed quotes on the BillsaveUK Ltd data base
  • Maintaining database of drawings
  • Liaise closely with both Sales & Planning departments to help provide 1st Class customer service
  • Communicating with customers via a wide range of mediums
  • Continually develop and look for the most efficient and productive ways to carry out the Estimating function
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures
  • Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times
  • Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment is practical for both yourself and others
  • And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

 

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

 

  • Previous experience of office based management within the Construction Industry
  • It is desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience of producing tenders/quotes for New Build Housing
  • At least 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) Grade C or above including English and Maths
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with customers and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Numerate
  • Excellent Data Entry Skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Strong listening skills and ability to empathise with others
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good time management and work prioritisation
  • Able to work in a diverse and challenging, yet rewarding environment
  • Computer literate with a good all round knowledge of MS Office packages, particularly excel

Working Hours:

 

40 hours per week, working between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes unpaid break daily.  Flexibility in working hours will be required.

Scaffolders Labourer, Part 1 & Advanced

Carry out all works as set out in Scaffolder CISRS criteria
 Correctly and safely erect truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds
 Observe regulations governing the safe erection, inspection and dismantling of scaffolds and
work methods to be adopted
 Determine the truss-out, pavement gantry, loading bay, splay, protective fan, use of
prefabricated beams and roof scaffolds in system or proprietary systems where applicable
 Construct scaffolds to statutory regulations TG20 and BS EN12811-1, and follow the safe
systems of work set out in the Safety Guidance Note 4 (SG4)
 Practical setting of anchors for tie testing
 The operative will be able, as a member of a team, to erect, alter and dismantle the above
scaffold structures safely and in their correct sequence
 Lay out materials, set out the scaffolds and overcome obstacles to erect the scaffold safely
 Flexible approach to working hours
 Ensure all associated administration duties are carried out in line with company procedures
 Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is adopted at all times
 Strictly adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and ensure that the working environment
is practical for both yourself and others
 And any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from
time to time.
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
 1+ year scaffolder experience preferred in the relevant construction/building environment:
 Previous experience of dealing with the general public and delivering service that exceeds
expectation:

 Prepared to work hours outside of the normal working week to meet with customer and

 Will be required to undertake a Criminal Reference Check: Knowledge and understanding of
the insulation and construction industry
Working Hours:
45 hours per week, working between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1-
hour unpaid break daily, with occasional weekend working. Flexibility in working hours will be
required.
